If you are appearing for the exam between April 2 and April 9, 2026, here is everything you need to know to stay ahead of the schedule.

πŸ“… Important Dates at a Glance
While the NTA has not yet announced the exact hour of release, historical trends and the current schedule give us a very clear window:

πŸ“ City Intimation Slip vs. Admit Card: What’s the Difference?
Many students confuse these two documents. It is vital to understand that the City Intimation Slip is NOT the Admit Card.

City Intimation Slip: Released roughly 10–12 days before the exam. It tells you your exam date and the city where your center is located. This is to help you arrange travel and lodging.

Admit Card (Hall Ticket): Released 3–4 days before your specific exam date. This is the mandatory document required for entry. it contains your exact center address, shift timing, and reporting instructions.

πŸ“² How to Download Your JEE Main 2026 Admit Card
Once the link is live on the official website, follow these steps:

Visit the official NTA portal: [Link Text]
Click on the link "JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Admit Card".

Enter your Application Number and Password (or Date of Birth).

Verify the security pin and click Submit.

Your admit card will appear on the screen. Download the PDF and take at least two color printouts.

πŸ“ Exam Day Checklist: Don’t Forget These!
You will not be allowed inside the exam hall without the following:

Printed Admit Card: A clear hard copy (preferably color).

Valid ID Proof: Original government-issued ID (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, etc.).

Passport Size Photo: Same as the one uploaded in the application form (to be pasted on the attendance sheet).

PWD Certificate: If applicable.

Pro-Tip: Check your admit card for the Reporting Time. NTA is very strict about gate closing times; if you arrive even a minute late, you may be barred from entry.

πŸ› οΈ What if there is an error?
If you find a mistake in your name, photograph, or signature on the admit card, do not panic. Immediately contact the NTA helpline:
