MCC Adds 183 New MBBS & BDS Seats in NEET 2026 Round 3

Introduction

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has added 183 new MBBS and BDS seats to the NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 3 seat matrix. The newly added seats are available across medical and dental colleges in Maharashtra, Puducherry, Tripura, Uttarakhand and the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.

Where Have the 183 New Seats Been Added?

The 183 seats have been added across six institutes. Maharashtra accounts for the largest share with 115 seats, followed by Puducherry with 50 seats.

Maharashtra Gets 115 New Seats

Maharashtra has received 115 of the 183 newly added seats.
At Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Government Medical College, Ahilyanagar, 15 new MBBS seats have been added under the All India quota. The seats include BC, EW, OP, SC and ST categories.
Another 100 BDS seats have been added at Datta Meghe Dental College, Hospital and Research Centre, Wanadongri, Nagpur. These seats are listed under the deemed university category and self-financed merit seat quota.

50 MBBS Seats Added in Puducherry

Candidates also get an additional 50 MBBS seats at Vinayaka Missions Medical College, Karaikal, Puducherry.

New MBBS Seats Added in Tripura, Uttarakhand and Silvassa

The remaining seats have been distributed among three institutes.
Agartala Government Medical College, Tripura has received 8 MBBS seats. The seats include BC, EW, OP, SC and ST categories.
Late Jagjivan Ram Government Medical College, Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand has received 7 MBBS seats, including seats listed across BC, EW, OP, OP-PH and SC categories.
Another 3 MBBS seats have been added at NAMO Medical Education & Research Institute, Government Medical College, Silvassa, in Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
