UCEED 2027 Exam Pattern
UCEED is a three-hour examination conducted at designated examination centres. It has two parts that assess different aspects of design aptitude.
Part A is computer-based and tests skills such as observation, visualisation, logical reasoning and analytical thinking. It evaluates how candidates interpret information and solve problems.
Part B focuses on drawing and design-related responses. It assesses the ability to communicate ideas visually and respond to design problems.
Candidates should consult the official information brochure for the exact question structure, marking scheme and examination instructions. Regular practice with previous-year papers, visual reasoning questions and drawing exercises can help students become familiar with the examination.
Participating Institutes and Admission Process
UCEED 2027 scores are used for B.Des. admissions at seven participating institutes:
IIT Bombay
IIT Delhi
IIT Guwahati
IIT Hyderabad
IIT Indore
IIT Roorkee
IIITDM Jabalpur
After the results, eligible candidates must complete a separate B.Des. admission application. The application process is scheduled to begin on March 15, 2027.
Candidates can select institutes according to the available options and their preferences. Seat allocation depends on factors such as All-India Rank, reservation category, eligibility and seat availability. Students receiving a seat offer must follow the specified instructions for acceptance and payment within the given deadline.
Qualifying UCEED does not guarantee admission. Candidates must satisfy the admission requirements and participate in the seat-allocation process
