IIT Ropar – Indian Institute of Technology

Admission to IIT Ropar B.Tech programmes is based on JEE Advanced followed by JoSAA counselling. Candidates need to meet the prescribed eligibility requirements, qualify JEE Advanced and participate in the counselling process for seat allocation. The admission process for postgraduate and research programmes varies according to the programme and applicable entrance examination or selection criteria.

IIT Ropar cutoff is an important factor for students planning admission through JEE Advanced and JoSAA counselling. The cutoff varies according to the programme, category, counselling round and admission year. The page should provide the latest opening and closing ranks along with previous-year cutoff information so students can understand the competition for different programmes.

IIT Ropar CSE cutoff should have a separate section because Computer Science and Engineering is one of the most searched programmes at the institute. Add the latest JEE Advanced closing rank along with category and JoSAA round. Previous-year CSE cutoff data can also be included for comparison, but every figure should clearly mention its admission year.

IIT Ropar has a dedicated Career Development and Placement Centre that supports students with internships and placement opportunities. As per the placement data currently featured on College For Me, IIT Ropar has an average package of ₹22.1 LPA and a highest package of ₹55 LPA. However, the official institute data reports different figures for 2024–25, including an undergraduate average package of ₹23.91 LPA in the placement brochure. IIT Ropar's official CAPS page currently lists ₹23.07 LPA average CTC and ₹65.75 LPA highest CTC for 2025. Therefore, the College For Me figures should be displayed with their applicable placement year/source instead of being presented as the latest official figures.

IIT Ropar has a permanent campus in Rupnagar, Punjab, with facilities including hostels, library, sports facilities, gymnasium, medical support, student activity spaces and other campus services. The scholarship section should explain the available scholarships, eligibility requirements and fee-related benefits using the latest official information. Avoid mentioning fixed scholarship amounts unless they have been verified from the current institute guidelines.
