Andhra University was established 97 years ago in 1926 by the Madras Act and is one of the oldest and most esteemed educational institutions in India. It has been ranked as the 43rd best university in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). The university has been awarded an A grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to offer its courses in the online mode. The university currently offers bachelor's degrees, a BCom (Accountancy), and a master's degree (M.A. Sociology) as part of its online programs to students.
