Electronics Engineering in India is offered as the 4-year B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electronics & Telecommunication (E&TC), or Electronics & Instrumentation, and as M.Tech specialisations in VLSI Design, Embedded Systems, Signal Processing, Communication Systems, and Microelectronics. B.Tech admission is through JEE Advanced (IITs), JEE Main (NITs, IIITs), and state CETs; M.Tech admission uses GATE. Strong programmes are offered by IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, NIT Trichy, IIIT Hyderabad, BITS Pilani, and COEP Pune. Annual tuition ranges from ₹60,000 at government institutes to ₹4–6 lakh at private universities. Graduates work as VLSI design engineers, embedded-systems engineers, RF and telecom engineers, hardware engineers, and IoT engineers at Qualcomm, Intel, Texas Instruments, MediaTek, Samsung Semiconductor, ISRO, and Nokia, and many also enter software roles. India's Semiconductor Mission and design-linked incentive schemes are expanding chip-design and manufacturing careers, with core packages of ₹6–25 LPA.
