Hospitality and Hotel Management education in India centres on the 4-year BHM (Bachelor of Hotel Management) and 3-year B.Sc in Hospitality & Hotel Administration, plus diplomas and craft courses in food production, food and beverage service, front office, and housekeeping. Admission to the Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) is through the NCHMCT JEE, while private colleges use CUET or their own tests. Leading institutions include IHM Pusa (Delhi), IHM Mumbai, IHM Bengaluru, the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (Manipal), and Christ University. Annual fees range from ₹70,000–₹1.5 lakh at IHMs to ₹2–5 lakh at premium private colleges. Graduates work with hotel chains (Taj, Oberoi, Marriott, ITC, Hyatt), airlines and cruise lines, QSR and cloud-kitchen brands, event and catering companies, facility management, and hospitality startups, and many move abroad. Entry roles include management trainee, guest-relations executive, chef de partie, and revenue and operations roles, with strong overseas earning potential.
