Information Technology programmes in India include the 4-year B.Tech (IT), 3-year B.Sc (IT), BCA, and postgraduate M.Tech and MCA degrees, focusing on software development, databases, computer networks, web and mobile applications, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and increasingly data science and AI. B.Tech IT admission is through JEE Main and state CETs; B.Sc IT and BCA use CUET or Class 12 merit. Strong IT programmes are offered by IIIT Hyderabad, NIT Karnataka, VIT Vellore, Vellore Institute of Technology, SRM, PSG College of Technology, and many state and private universities. Annual tuition ranges from ₹60,000 at government institutes to ₹3–5 lakh at private universities.
