In 2003, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune (Deemed University) was established as a standalone institution for online education through the establishment of a Center for Online Learning (COL). Through this center, UGC recognized undergraduate and postgraduate programs are offered in a 100% online medium.
At DPU COL, students can obtain an Online BBA, an Online MBA, and other specialized diplomas such as Healthcare Management and Digital Marketing. The program faculty consists of University faculty combined with working professionals to bring both academic theory and real-world applications. Course materials, live lectures, and recorded lectures are available on a Learning Management System (LMS), which is secure and mobile-friendly. All online assessments and exams are conducted through the UGC compliant LMS, utilizing live proctoring systems to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
The LMS also allows for non-supervised, self-paced learning opportunities through practice assessments, quizzes, discussion forums, and assignments (homework) in addition to progress tracking. This design engages and provides continuous opportunities for students to acquire knowledge and skills.

Examination Pattern
The exams will be conducted in online modes at specified examination centers of the university. The evaluation will be based on a Formative Assessment of a Continuous Nature that will contribute 30% of marks and a Summative Assessment or Term End Examination that will contribute 70% of marks in the final evaluation.
